As the summer is winding down, I hope you're having a fabulous start to fall.
It's been a minute!
Suffice to say that the last five years have been a whirlwind of change and excitement. During my four years in Georgia I went to — and graduated from — grad school at UGA. I'm now very proud to have my MFA in Theatre & Film Studies.
The summer after my graduation, my family and I moved back to New York where I became a tenure track professor at the Sands College of Performing Arts at Pace University, a place I've always dreamt of teaching at! Then, I signed an academic book deal based on my graduate school thesis: a collaborative feature film project that is now in post-production: Classics Undone.
This year, I'm excited to announce that I am now the Associate Head of the Acting for Film & Media program at Pace!
This innovative program brings acting for the camera to the forefront and jumpstarts the students' careers from their first day. Our actors craft moments for media where silence can speak louder than applause. They hone their unique voices and refine their individual artistic acting processes, gaining the tools to reflect humanity with honesty—often for an audience just inches away. By also learning the technical aspects of the media they work in, they emerge as modern multi-hyphenates, ready for careers in an ever-evolving industry.
I can't wait to see what the next four years bring, and I'm looking forward to many more fruitful collaborations.
Cheers!
